SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Filing for the Utah Republican Presidential Preference Poll closed on December 15, 2023. The final list of candidates who have qualified and remain on the ballot is as follows (in alphabetical order):
Ryan Binkley
Ron DeSantis
Nikki Haley
Asa Hutchinson
Vivek Ramaswamy
Donald Trump
Chris Christie and Doug Burgum had also qualified for the ballot, but suspended their campaigns on January 10, 2024 and December 4, 2023 respectively. All of these candidates met the requirements put forth by the Utah Republican Party including filing needed forms and paying the filing fee.
“We are looking forward to any registered Republican in Utah participating in caucus and expressing their support for their preferred candidate. We have invited and encouraged these candidates to get to know our Republican electorate leading up to caucus night on March 5, 2024,” noted Utah Republican Party Chair Rob Axson.
The Utah Republican Party will continue to provide information concerning caucus participation, the role of delegates, how to vote for a preferred presidential candidate, and more. Utah Republicans will also have the opportunity to vote absentee for those who cannot attend their local precinct caucus in person.
“We appreciate all of the candidates’ ongoing efforts to engage in Utah’s caucus system and hope to see them here in Utah as we approach caucus night and thereafter. It is critically important that we replace President Biden in 2024 and turn around the direction of our country. I know that Utahns have the commitment, ideas, and principles to make that happen.” explained Chair Axson.
